Cool 1, a budget dual camera smartphone jointly made by LeEco and Coolpad, was launched in China back in August this year. It was the first device in the ‘Cool series’, that came out of the houses of LeEco and Coolpad. The smartphone has been officially launched in India on December 28 exclusively on Amazon.in.

Only the 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant has made its way to India and it is priced at Rs. 13,999. It will go on open sale starting from January 5, 2023 exclusively via Amazon India. Coolpad Cool 1 Specifications

The Cool 1 boasts of a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS in-cell display, that has a pixel density of 401 PPI. Under the hood, it is being powered by a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz along with Adreno 510 GPU. For multitasking for storage, we are getting 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage (eMMC 5.1), however the storage cannot be expanded since it does not come with a microSD card. It runs on EUI 5.6 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

In the camera department, the Cool 1, being one of the best dual camera phones, rocks dual 13 megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash. It has f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and can record 4K videos along with 1080p and slow motion (120fps) videos. The secondary lens is used for depth of field (bokeh) effect. There is also a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens for clicking selfies. It is a Dual SIM phone (nano), that has a unibody metal design. We also get a fingerprint sensor placed below the dual cameras at the back, that claims to unlock the phone in just 0.15 seconds.

In the networking and connectivity department, we get 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. To power the phone, there is a massive 4060mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support.
