Micromax Canvas Infinity, the most affordable bezel-less smartphone in the Indian market, has been officially announced in the country today. Couple of weeks back, LG Q6 had been awarded this title but today Micromax Informatics has snatched it from LG by launching the Canvas Infinity. The Micromax Canvas Infinity features a 5.7-inch 2.5D curved glass Full Vision IPS display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels (HD+) and pixel density of 279 PPI. It is a bezel-less display with a screen-to-body ratio of 83% and the screen has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Infinity is powered by a Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz along with Adreno 308 GPU. For multitasking and storage, we get 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can also be extended up to 128GB by adding a microSD card.
The Canvas Infinity runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS out of the box and is upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo OS in the future. It is a Dual SIM phone (dedicated microSD card slot) with 4G VoLTE support. Other connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS. There is a fingerprint scanner located on the back and the device comes with a removable metal back cover.
In the camera department, there is a 13 megapixel primary camera at the back and a 16 megapixel selfie camera on the front with real-time bokeh mode. Both of them come with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 81.5-degree FOV, 5P lens and they can shoot Full HD videos as well .Under the hood, there is a 2900mAh battery (removable) but there is no support for fast charging.
The Micromax Canvas Infinity is priced at Rs. 9,999 and will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India from September 1 in Black color. The company is also promising 24 hours service for the device. If they fail to do so, the customer will get a new phone.
