The Snapdragon 835 SoC (System on Chip) is the flagship processor of 2017 from the house of Qualcomm. The octa-core chipset was announced back in November 2016 and most of the smartphones being powered by the 835 are being launched in 2017. It is the first 10-nanometer mobile chip manufactured by Qualcomm, which will perform amazingly well. Actually, Qualcomm and Samsung has collaborated to make this SoC using the 10nm FinFET process developed by Samsung. Today, we bring you the best Snapdragon 835 phones but first have a look at the features of the chipset.
The Snapdragon 835 processor made by 10nm process is even smaller than the Snapdragon 821 chipset, which is made by 14nm process. This makes the processor more energy-efficient and powerful than any other mobile processor in the world. As the chipset becomes smaller, smartphone makers will get more room to fit bigger batteries, camera sensors and make the flagship phones even more slimmer. According to data, the 835 boasts of 30% more area efficiency, 27% higher performance and 40% less battery-consuming than the 821. In the graphics department, we get Adreno 540 GPU. The CPU is the octa-core Kryo 280, which includes four cores with 2.45GHz and four cores with 1.9GHz. The processor also supports up to 32 megapixel camera or 16 megapixel dual camera sensors, Bluetooth 5.0, better AR and VR experience along with 4K Ultra HD video streaming. The Exynos 8895 from Samsung and Kirin 960 from Huawei are equivalent to the Snapdragon 835 in terms of performance and efficiency. So without any further ado, let’s get started.
