Intex has launched the successor of the Aqua 5.5 VR smartphone, named the Aqua 5.5 VR+. It comes with a free VR headset. The main changes in this phone are the new 8 megapixel rear camera, 2GB RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Take a quick look at the specifications, features and pricing of the mobile below.
The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR+ features a 5.5-inch IPS display, that has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and pixel density of 267 PPI. Out of the box, the phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS and is being powered by a 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737V/W quad-core processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. We get 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage but the user can expand it further up to 64GB by adding a microSD card.
The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR+ rocks a 8 megapixel primary camera with dual LED flash at the back. We get a 5 megapixel selfie camera with LED flash on the front. Both of them can shoot videos in HD resolution. There is a 3.5mm audio jack along with FM Radio. It is 10.3mm thick, weighs 176 grams and comes with a polycarbonate body.
In the connectivity department, the Aqua 5.5 VR+ includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS. It supports Dual SIM and comes with a dedicated microSD card slot. It packs in a 2800mAh battery (non-removable) under its hood but sadly it does not support fast charging.
The Intex Aqua 5.5 VR+ is priced at Rs. 5,799 and is available exclusively on Flipkart in Champagne color.
