There has been a lot of speculation about the upcoming flagship phablet from the ‘Apple of China’, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. However, if we go by the latest developments, it might be called “Xiaomi Pro” or “Xiaomi Mi Pro”. A new account on the micro-blogging website Weibo was created that goes by the name of “Xiaomi Pro”. Hence, it is being speculated that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be launched as Xiaomi Pro or Xiaomi Mi Pro. More so because Xiaomi already has a “Pro” model in the Redmi series, that goes by the name of Xiaomi Redmi Pro.
Also, there is another alternative theory that Xiaomi is gearing up to battle Meizu’s PRO flagship series with its line of “Pro” devices. Hence, they went ahead and registered the account on Weibo ahead of the official launch, which is rumored to take place on September 14, 2016. Lets have a look at the rumored specifications of the device below.
Xiaomi Mi Pro or Mi Note 2 Rumored Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Pro is speculated to come in two different variants - one might be powered by the Snapdragon 820 along with 4GB of RAM and the other one will run on Snapdragon 821 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB ROM onboard. In the display department, it is expected to rock a 5.7-inch OLED curved display panel with Full HD resolution. It might also feature a 3D touch display like the ones found on Apple’s iPhones. The primary rear camera on the back could get a dual camera setup with both the sensor being 13 megapixel each. The fingerprint sensor is expected to be embedded on the home button, much like the Xiaomi Mi 5 and the Xiaomi Redmi Pro. It might run on the latest MIUI version based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Sadly, we do not have any information about the battery capacity yet but we can expect a big battery (more than 3500mAh).
The Mi Note 2 aka the Mi Pro will not really be very cheap and might be priced at 2999 Yuan (USD 449 approx.), but will be aggressively priced in comparison to its specs, like all other Xiaomi products. Stay tuned for more information on the same.
