Huawei India launches Honor Bee 2 with 4G VoLTE for Rs. 7499

Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand has launched the Honor Bee 2 in India. It is the latest budget smartphone from the company that has been priced at Rs. 7,499. The Bee 2 is available in Black, Gold and White color variants from all Honor partner stores across the country with 15-months service warranty. Lets have a look at its specifications and features below.

The Honor Bee 2 features a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) and is being powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. For multitasking and storage, we get 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, which can also be extended up to 32GB by adding a microSD card. The Bee 2 runs on Emotion UI 3.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It is a Dual SIM phone with 4G VoLTE support. Other connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.

In the camera department, we get a 5 megapixel primary camera with Dual LED flash at the back along with a 2 megapixel front-facing selfie camera at the front. It features a Smart Key, which is placed on the left side. The Smart Key can be used to open the flashlight and other applications. It comes with ‘Rainbow Light’ on the back, which will light up when the user gets a call, communicating alerts and notification in vibrant colours near the primary camera. Under the hood, there is a 2100mAh battery and it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio as well.

Editor’s Note: We really do not what Huawei is thinking here. Honor Bee 2 is grossly overpriced for what it is offering. Smartphones under 5000 come with better specifications than this phone. We understand that the Honor Bee 2 is meant for the offline market and it will be available at a lower price than its official MRP but we cannot justify a Rs. 7,000 smartphone with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display.
