Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro goes official with Snapdragon 626 SoC and 4GB

While India got the new Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 couple of days back, China got a new ‘Galaxy C series’ smartphone named C5 Pro. The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is priced at 2499 Yuan ($362 / Rs. 24,106 approx.) and consumers in China can pre-order it in Blue, Rose Gold and Gold color variants. The exact launch date hasn’t been revealed yet but it will go on sale by the end of March. So without any further ado, lets check out its features and specifications now.

The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is a Dual SIM phone but it comes with a hybrid slot (nano + nano/microSD). It supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, USB Type-C, GPS and NFC. Under the hood, we get a 2600mAh battery with adaptive fast charging support but the capacity of the battery is certainly on the lower side. The C5 Pro has an all metal body, which weighs 145 grams and is 7mm thick. There is a fingerprint sensor that has been embedded into its home button.

The Galaxy C5 Pro rocks 16 megapixel cameras on both sides. The primary camera at the back comes with a dual-tone LED flash and can shoot Full HD videos at 30 fps. Both the selfie and rear cameras have an aperture of f/1.9. The phone runs on TouchWiz UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS but Samsung should have gone with Android 7.0 Nougat since it’s a 2017 phone. Anyway, we hope it gets updated to Nougat soon.

The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 14nm 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz with Adreno 506 GPU. There is 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and the user can choose the expand the storage externally by up to 256GB. The C5 Pro boasts of a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. The panel has a screen-to-body ratio of 71.7% and has a pixel density of 424 PPI.

The Galaxy C5 Pro from the house of Samsung will surely make its way into the Indian market in the future but we do not know the exact time frame.
