Panasonic P85, the latest budget smartphone in the ‘P series’ has been launched in India, exclusively on Flipkart. The company had also recently launched the Panasonic Eluga Ray with 4000mAh battery in a metal enclosure. The P85 also features a 4000mAh battery under its hood but does not come with the AI assistant named Arbo, which is present in the new ‘Eluga Ray series’.
The Panasonic P85 features a 5-inch IPS display, which has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is being powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage but the user can expand it further up to 64GB by adding a microSD card.
In the connectivity department, it comes with 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, USB OTG and GPS. It supports Dual SIM, which weighs 146.7 grams and is 9.35mm thick. The Panasonic P85 boasts of a 8 megapixel primary camera with LED flash at the back. The rear camera can shoot Full HD videos as well. There is a 2 megapixel selfie camera for clicking selfies and making video calls. We also get a 3.5mm audio jack along with FM Radio.
The P85 packs in a 4000mAh battery (non-removable) under its hood and thus consumers should be able to use the phone for up to two days with moderate usage, however it does not support fast charging.
The Panasonic P85 is priced at Rs. 6,499 in India and is exclusively available on Flipkart in Gold and Grey colors. We will include it in our best smartphones under 7000 list in the next update.
