ASUS ZenFone Live, the latest budget smartphone in the ‘ZenFone series’ has been announced in India. Besides having basic features like 4G VoLTE, it has a real-time beautification feature with live-streaming beautification app. According to ASUS, the phone will let you see your skin getting smoothened and remove blemishes in real-time. There is a BeautyLive app which has been seamlessly integrated with Facebook, YouTube and other live streaming social network apps. The ZenFone Live also has dual MEMS microphones for eliminating background noise and enhance voice pickup. We also get five-magnet and smart amplifier for powerful audio.
The ASUS ZenFone Live rocks a 5-inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display, which has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), pixel density of 294 PPI and screen-to-body ratio of 75%. The phone is being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz along with Adreno 305 GPU. For multitasking and storage, we get 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. The user can expand the storage externally up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. The ZenFone Live is a Dual SIM (nano) phone but it comes with a hybrid slot, hence you can either put a SIM card or a microSD card in the second slot.
In the camera department, we have a 13 megapixel primary camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens at the back. It can shoot Full HD videos. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture, soft LED flash and 82-degree wide-angle lens. The ZenFone Live is 7.95mm thick and weighs 120 grams. Out of the box, the phone runs on Zen UI 3.5 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The ASUS ZenFone Live rocks all the modern connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3G HSPA+, USB OTG and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. Under the hood of this phone, there is a 2650mAh battery but it does not support fast charging.
The ASUS ZenFone Live is priced at Rs. 9,999 and is available exclusively on Flipkart in Rose Pink, Shimmer Gold and Navy Black colors.
According to us, the ZenFone Live is a good niche product considering the amount of live videos increasing on various social media platforms. It will be very useful for consumers who go live very often for professional reason. We will include the phone in our best smartphones under 10000 list in the next update.
