Lenovo to launch Moto E3 in India on September 19

Lenovo India is all set to launch the successor of the original low-end budget smartphone, the Moto E3 in India on September 19. Ken Wong, President, Lenovo APAC told Gadgets 360 at the sidelines of IFA in Berlin that, “Lenovo will host a special event in India on September 19 where it will unveil the Moto E3. The phone will go on sale in India later this month.” Lets check out the features and specifications of the Moto E3 that was announced two months back.

Motorola Moto E3 Specifications and Features

The Moto E3 features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display, that has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 67.5% and comes with a pixel density of 294 PPI. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box. The E3 is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.0 GHz, however we do not know the name of the exact chipset yet. It packs in 1GB of RAM along with 8GB of onboard internal storage, that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It is 8.6 mm thick and weighs 140.6 grams.

In the camera department, the Moto E3 rocks a 8 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash and Auto Focus, which has basic features like Geo-tagging, panorama and HDR. There is a 5 megapixel front-facing selfie camera as well. It has water-repellent nano-coating that is sufficient to save it from occasional water splashes. The E3 supports Dual SIM (micro) but that is region dependent, however India will certainly get the Dual SIM variant. It comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and supports FM Radio. Its dimensions are 143 x 71.4 x 8.6 mm.

In the connectivity front, the E3 includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS with GLONASS. Under the hood, we get a 2800mAh Li-lon battery (non-removable) but does not support fast charging, as expected.

The Moto E3 brought to you by Lenovo will be available in Black and White color variants. It will reportedly be priced around Rs. 7,000 in India. Also, recently Moto E3 Power was spotted in the wild and hence it could also be launched in India on September 19 along with the E3. It packs in 3500mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, that can be expanded up to 128GB.
