Vivo launches Y55s in India with Snapdragon 425 processor for Rs. 12490

Vivo Y55s smartphone has been officially launched in India. Priced at Rs. 12,490, it will go on sale starting from February 26 in Crown Gold and Space Grey colors. According to CEO of Vivo India, the company is now strengthening the Y series portfolio with the launch of Y55s, a power packed device, after the success of the Vivo V5 Plus. Lets have a look at the features of the Vivo Y55s below.

Starting with the camera section, the Y55s boasts of a 13 megapixel primary camera with LED flash at the back along with a 5 megapixel secondary selfie camera on the front. The selfie camera has innovative features such as Palm Capture and Voice Capture. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor from the house of Qualcomm, clocked at 1.4GHz. For gaming and graphics related processing, we get Adreno 308 GPU. There is 3GB RAM on board which will be taking care of the multitasking. It rocks a 2730mAh battery under its hood but does not support fast charging.

The Vivo Y55s comes with only 16GB of internal memory but it can be increased further up to 256GB externally by adding a microSD card. The phone runs on FunTouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has features such as split screen for proper multitasking at real-time. There is a 5.2-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved-edge display with a pixel density of 282 PPI. The phone also has a unique eye protection mode, which basically ensures that the screen brightness is set at a comfortable level by reducing blue light. Thus, it will cause less strain on the eyes of the users.

It is a Dual SIM phone with 4G LTE support but at this time we cannot say if there is VoLTE support or not. Other options include Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G HSPA+. Normal features such as 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio are also present. If available online, it might find a place in our best smartphones under 13000 list.
