Cool Play 6, the latest mid-ranged smartphone from the house of Coolpad, has been officially launched in India. It is the most affordable 6GB RAM smartphone in the country right now and also comes with a dual camera setup. Take a quick look at its specifications, features and pricing below.
The Coolpad Cool Play 6 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and pixel density of 401 PPI. It is being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor clocked at 1.95GHz along with Adreno 510 GPU. For multitasking and storage, we get 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, but you cannot extend the storage as it does not have a microSD card slot.
In the camera department, the Cool Play 6 boasts of two 13 megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. As usual, the second lens is for capturing depth information for background blur (bokeh) effect. We get a 8 megapixel front-facing selfie camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture. Under the hood, there is a 4060mAh battery (non-removable). It comes with a fingerprint sensor located at the back, which can unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds.
The Cool Play 6 runs on Journey UI based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and Coolpad has promised to upgrade it to Android 8.0 Oreo OS by December 2017. It is a Dual SIM phone and has 4G VoLTE connectivity. Other options include 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), USB 2.0 Type-C and GPS. The phone is 8.45mm thick, weighs 175 grams and is made up of metal.
The Coolpad Cool Play 6 is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India from September 4 in Gold and Black colors.
