Reliance Retail has launched yet another LYF smartphone and for the first time it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. The company has launched LYF Water 11 in India. It runs on Marshmallow, unlike all other LYF smartphones we have seen in the past that run on Lollipop. Lets go through the features, specifications and price of this new budget smartphone in the ‘LYF Water series’ below.
LYF Water 11 Specifications and Features
The LYF Water 11 by Reliance Retail features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display, that has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 294 PPI. It is a capacitive display with 5 point multi-touch support but does not have any screen protection (like Gorilla Glass) on top. In the camera department, it comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, Auto Focus, multi angle view mode, aut0-scene detection, face detection, video snapshot, smile shot and gesture shot. It can shoot Full HD 1080p videos at 30fps. There is a 5 megapixel front-facing selfie camera onboard as well. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box, as we already know.
The Water 11 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6735A 64-bit processor. It is clocked at 1.3 GHz and comes with ARM Mali-T720 MP2 GPU clocked at 600 MHz. It has 3GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of internal storage, that can further be expanded up to 32GB by installing a microSD card. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD), comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and FM Radio. The phone’s dimensions are 141 x 70 x 7.3 mm. The body is 7.3 mm thick and it weighs 134.5 grams.
The LYF Water 11 supports 4G with VoLTE, features WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as other connectivity options. Under the hood, there is a 2100mAh Lithium Polymer battery, that promises up to 300 hours of standby time.
The Reliance LYF Water 11 is now available in Gold color and has been priced at Rs. 8,199 in India. It is a very decent smartphone, if compared to the competition in its price range.
