Huawei Mate 9 arrives with 20MP monochrome and 12MP RGB Leica cameras

Huawei Mate 9, the latest flagship phablet from the company has been also launched at an event in Germany alongside the limited edition Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9. Lets find out its features below.

Unlike the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9, the standard Mate 9 is a more practical phone which the consumers can purchase. In the camera department, two Leica SUMMARIT lenses at the back – a 20 megapixel monochrome camera and a 12 megapixel RGB camera. It brings Huawei’s ISP into play and comes with Hybrid Zoom technology via which we can get 2x magnification. It has an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 960 chipset clocked at 2.4 GHz along with IntelliSense i6 sensor hub and Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. There is 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage and the phablet runs on EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. The Mate 9 rocks a 4000mAh battery under its hood with SuperCharge fast charging support. According to Huawei, it can deliver a full day worth of battery life with just 20 minutes of charging and that’s impressive. Find out the full specifications sheet below.

The Huawei Mate 9 comes in a lot of colors - Space Gray, Black, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Ceramic White and Mocha Brown. It has been priced at €699 ($774 / Rs. 51,633 approx.) and will start rolling out in China, France, Malaysia, Poland, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Japan, Italy, Thailand, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates soon. There is no information about India launch. As its predecessor Mate 8 did not make it to India, we are not hopeful of the Mate 9 either.
