Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched the Moto G5S along with its elder brother, the Moto G5S Plus in India today. Here, we will talk about the Moto G5S, which more or less has the same specifications compared to its predecessor, the Moto G5. Check out the specifications, features and pricing of the mobile below.
The Moto G5S comes with 4GB RAM with 32GB internal memory and you can increase the memory further up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. For processing and graphics, the Moto G5S features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz along with Adreno 505 GPU. The mobile runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box and will certainly get updated to Android 8.0 Oreo in the near future.
The Moto G5S sports a 5.2-inch IPS display, which has a pixel density of 424 PPI and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). The panel is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, just like the Moto G5S Plus. It is a Dual SIM (nano) phone with 4G VoLTE support. In terms of connectivity, we are getting 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), NFC and GPS. Under the hood, the G5S packs in a 3000mAh battery with support for Turbo Charging.
The Moto G5S features a unibody metal design like most other smartphones in this price segment. It is 8.2~9.5mm thick and weighs 157 grams. In the camera section, there is a 16 megapixel primary camera at the back with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture. The primary shooter can also record 1080p videos. It boasts of a 5 megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. We also get a fingerprint sensor located on the front along with a bottom-ported loudspeaker. Like most other Motorola smartphones, the Moto G5S also has water-repellent nano-coating for water splash resistance.
The Moto G5S is priced at Rs. 13,999 and will go on sale on Amazon India as well as offline stores across the country from August 30 in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold colors. The company has also launched the Moto G5S Plus for Rs. 15,999 in India.
