Ulefone, a Chinese smartphone brand has launched its first rugged smartphone called the Ulefone Armor. It comes in a polycarbonate TPU double-layer body, so that the device can survive a hit on any hard surface. It is IP68 certified and hence is dust and water proof. The device will also survive in adverse climate conditions ranging between -20°C to 80°C because of the materials used. It has physical keys for navigation and also comes with a dedicated SOS key. The Ulefone Armor features a 4.7-inch HD display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, there is a 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core chipset, Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM (further expandable up to 128GB). The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It is a Dual SIM phone with 4G LTE support. In the camera section, it gets a 13 megapixel primary camera at the back and a 5 megapixel secondary camera at the front. Despite being a compact phone, it is very bulky as it weighs 195 grams and is 12.5 mm thick. There is a 3500mAh battery, that promises up to 280 hours of standby time.
