Gionee S6 Pro, which was unveiled in China back in June, has made its way to India finally. If sold online, it will make its way into our best smartphones under 25000 category soon. The Chinese company has also launched their first VR headset in India but it does not come in the package and you have to purchase it separately.
The S6 Pro from the house of Gionee features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 chipset with Mali-T860 GPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage (further expandable up to 128GB). It runs on Amigo OS 3.2 out of the box that is based on Marshmallow. It may or may not get updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, but we cannot confirm it now.
In the camera department, we get a 13 megapixel rear shooter along with a 8 megapixel selfie camera. The body of the S6 Pro is made up of aluminium-magnesium alloy and it also packs in a fingerprint sensor that is embedded into its home button. It supports Dual SIM but comes with a hybrid slot where you can either put in two SIM cards at once or a SIM card and a microSD card. It it a 4G VoLTE enabled device that also has 3G HSPA+, 2G, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C and GPS. Under the hood, we find a 3130mAh battery but looks like it does not support fast charging.

The Gionee S6 Pro comes in Gold and Rose Gold shades for Rs. 23,990 (MOP) in India. Consumers will get a free subscription of Saavn Pro for three months with the phone. Gionee has also launched a VR headset for Rs 2,499. It is sold separately and does not come with this device.
