Huawei India launches Honor 8 Pro with 6GB RAM, dual cameras for Rs. 29999

Huawei India has officially launched the Honor 8 Pro exclusively on Amazon India today. It is the successor of the Honor 8, which is one of the best smartphones under 30000. It is actually the global variant of the Honor V9, which was launched in China back in February 2017. The main USP of this flagship phone from the house of Honor is its dual 12 megapixel rear cameras, which can shoot great portrait images with background blur (bokeh) effect. Also, the retail box of the phone transforms into a VR headset.

The Honor 8 Pro features a 5.7-inch 2.5D curved glass IPS LCD display, which has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (Quad HD), pixel density of 515 PPI and screen-to-body ratio of 73.6%. The phone runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat OS and is being powered by a 2.4GHz Kirin 960 octa-core processor along with Mali G71 octa-core GPU. There is 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage but the user can expand it further up to 128GB by adding a microSD card.

In the camera department, the Honor 8 Pro boasts of 12 megapixel (monochrome) + 12 megapixel (RGB) cameras at the back with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture. They can shoot 4K videos. There is a 8 megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture for clicking selfies and making video calls. We get a fingerprint sensor located on the back and an Infrared sensor placed on the front. It supports Dual SIM (nano) but comes with a hybrid slot. It has a metal body, which is 6.97mm thick and weighs 184 grams.

The Honor 8 Pro packs in a 4000mAh battery (non-removable) under its hood with support for fast charging. In the connectivity department, it includes 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), NFC, USB Type-C and GPS.

The Honor 8 Pro is priced at Rs. 29,999 and will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India from July 13, 2023 in Navy Blue, Midnight Black and Platinum Gold colors. However, Amazon Prime users can purchase it at 6PM on July 10 on Prime Day sale, which would include HDFC cash back offers. Vodafone customers will get 45GB of free data for 5 months.
