Micromax’s sister brand YU Televentures has launched the YUREKA 2 smartphone in the Indian market today. It is a Flipkart exclusive, which is being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and is being competitively priced. However, the main drawback of the phone is that it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS when it should have come with Android 7.0 Nougat at least. The YU YUREKA 2 features a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and pixel density of 401 PPI. It is being powered by a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with Adreno 506 GPU. For multitasking and storage, we get 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can also be extended up to 128GB by adding a microSD card.
The YUREKA 2 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box. It is a Dual SIM (nano) phone with 4G VoLTE support but comes with a hybrid slot. Other connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) and GPS. There is a fingerprint scanner located at the back, which can unlock the phone very quickly.
In the camera department, there is a 16 megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash at the back. On the front, we get a 8 megapixel selfie camera. Both of them can record Full HD videos. Under the hood, there is a 3930mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.
The YU YUREKA 2 is priced at Rs. 11,999 and will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart from September 20 during Big Billion Days Sale in Gold color.
