Panasonic has officially launched two new budget smartphones in India today. They are known as Eluga Pulse and Eluga Pulse X. Both these phones have a metal unibody design with 4G VoLTE support. They will be available in Gold and Silver colors via all brand outlets across India starting next week. They are priced at Rs. 9,690 and Rs. 10,990, respectively.
The Panasonic Eluga Pulse features a 5-inch display, while the Pulse X boasts of a 5.5-inch display. Both of them come with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and are protected by Asahi Dragontrail glass. These new Eluga smartphones are powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor but the company has not revealed the model but we are guessing it is a MediaTek chipset. For multitasking, the Pulse comes with 2GB RAM, which the Pulse X has 3GB RAM. However, both of them have 16GB of internal storage and it can be expanded externally up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. They run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
Both the Panasonic Eluga Pulse and Pulse X rocks a 13 megapixel primary camera at the back with triple LED flash along with a 5 megapixel selfie camera on the front. We also get a fingerprint sensor that has been placed at the back side below the primary camera and flash. In terms of connectivity, both the phones have 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G HSPA+ and GPS. While the Eluga Pulse has a 2200mAh battery under its hood but there is a bigger battery (3000mAh) on the Pulse X. However, both of them do not support fast charging.
According to Business Head of Panasonic India, they are targeting various kinds of users including working professionals, youth and gaming enthusiasts. If they are sold online, we will consider listing them in our best smartphones under 10000 section.
