Meizu has officially launched their latest budget phablet, the Meizu M3 Max at an event in China today. It packs in a gigantic 6-inch display, 4100mAh battery and more under the hood. Lets have a look at the features, specifications and price of the phablet from the house of Meizu.

Meizu M3 Max Specifications and Features

Firstly, the Meizu M3 Max packs in a massive 6.0-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). The display has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and brightness of 450 nits. It rocks 3GB of RAM and comes with 32GB of onboard internal memory, that can also be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card. The M3 Max is powered by an octa-core Helio P10 chipset manufactured by MediaTek. It is clocked at 1.8 GHz. There is a Mali-T860 GPU onboard as well. The device runs on the in-house Flyme OS 5.2 that is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Hopefully it will get updated to Android 7.0 Nougat and later as well. It has a unibody metal design that is 7.94 mm thick and weighs 189 grams.

In terms of connectivity, it features 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and GLONASS. However, it lacks NFC and USB Type-C, which are quite common in this range these days. Under the hood, the M3 Max has a 4100mAh battery with support for mCharge (fast charging). It promises that it can charge up to 45% in just 30 minutes, when you charge it with the 12V / 2A (24W) charger, that is supplied in the box.

When it comes to the camera department, we get a 13 megapixel rear shooter along with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and 5P lens onboard. There is also a 5 megapixel front-facing selfie camera that comes with 4P lens and f/2.0 aperture, which should help in clicking good selfies, even in low light. Its dimensions are 163.4 x 81.6 x 7.94 mm. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD card), comes with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a fingerprint sensor (mTouch 2.1) embedded into its home button. It can unlock the smartphone in just 0.2 seconds and also supports payments via Alipay and WeChat which are very secured due to the fingerprint sensor.

The M3 Max from the house of Meizu comes in Rose Gold, Champagne Gold, Silver and Gray colors. It is priced at 1699 Yuan (USD 254 / Rs. 16,902 approx.) in China. It can be ordered now and will go on pre-sale starting from September 12 in the country. However, there is no information about the global roll out yet but we hope it makes its way to India soon, as it will be an ideal competitor to the Xiaomi Mi Max.
