Lenovo India has created history in the Indian smartphone market today. They have announced themselves in a new way and has taken the competition by surprise. Lenovo has launched their latest flagship in the Indian market known as the Lenovo Z2 Plus. It is the same variant as China’s ZUK Z2 with slight fine prints.
The Z2 Plus from the house of Lenovo is the cheapest smartphone in India to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It comes in two variants - a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant priced at Rs. 17,999 and a 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant priced at just Rs. 19,999. If we look at its closest competition in the market, we have the Xiaomi Mi 5 (3GB RAM + 32GB ROM) priced at Rs. 22,999, which is Rs. 5000 more.
The Lenovo Z2 Plus comes in Black and White colors and will go on sale in India exclusively via Amazon starting from September 25 (midnight). If we look at some other specifications, it features a 5.0-inch Full HD LTPS 2.5D curved glass display, runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Google Now launcher pre-installed. It packs in a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 8 megapixel front-facing selfie camera. The smartphone supports Dual SIM (nano) and is made up of fibre glass wrapped around a metal frame. It has a fingerprint sensor called U-Touch 2.0 that is embedded into the home button and it can unlock the phone under 0.1 seconds with 99.7% accuracy.
In the connectivity department, the Z2 Plus includes 4G with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C port. Under the hood, there is a 3500mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. It can charge it from 0-80% in 60 minutes flat.

To remind you once again, Lenovo Z2 Plus is currently the cheapest smartphone in India to sport the full-fledged Snapdragon 820 chipset. It starts at Rs. 17,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM model and the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant costs Rs. 19,999. It can be purchased exclusively from Amazon.in starting from September 25, 2023 via open sale. Lenovo has also launched accessories for the Z2 Plus as it doesn’t come with any headphones in the box. They have launched a Chrono Case for Rs. 1,299, Skullcandy Ando headphones for Rs. 1,299 and a Stealth Case for Rs. 699. According to our knowledge, a Stealth case will be included in the box.
