Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with SD625, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM launched in India

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 4 smartphone in India at an event in Delhi today. It is the successor of the best-selling smartphone from the house of Xiaomi. The mobile has a brushed metal body with chamfered edges. Lets take a look at its specifications, features and pricing below.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, one of the best Android phones of 2017, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 14nm octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with Adreno 506 GPU. In terms of RAM and storage, there are three different combinations - one with 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM, another with 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and the highest variant comes with 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM. In the display department, we are getting a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, that comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 401 PPI. It supports sunlight display technology that improves screen readability using hardware-level technology to adjust contrast for each pixel in real-time. Redmi Note 4 runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and also comes with an Android Nougat preview.

The Redmi Note 4 is a Dual SIM phone but has a hybrid slot (micro + nano / microSD card). It is a 4G VoLTE supported device that also has WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, GLONASS and 3G HSPA+. There is a massive 4100mAh battery under its hood with support for fast charging. In the camera department, we get a 13 megapixel primary camera at the back with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX258 / Samsung S5K3L8 sensor, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. On the front, it has a 5 megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens. Both of them can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. We get a fingerprint sensor (back) along with an Infrared sensor. It is 8.45mm thick and weighs 175 grams.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes in Dark Gray, Gold and Matte Black color variants but the Black color will go on sale around late February. It is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 2GB RAM variant, Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB RAM variant, while the 4GB RAM model costs Rs. 12,999 in India. It will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart and Mi.com starting from 12PM, January 23.
