Samsung India launches Z4 running on Tizen 3.0 OS for Rs. 5790

Samsung Z4, the latest budget smartphone in the ‘Z series’ running on Tizen OS has been officially launched in India today. The Z4 runs on Tizen OS 3.0 out of the box and the device has been targeted at first-time smartphone users. Like other Samsung smartphones, the Z4 also comes with ‘Make for India’ features such as S bike mode, My Money Transfer and Ultra Power Saving mode. The Samsung Z4 rocks a 4.5-inch 2.5D curved glass IPS display, that comes with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA) and is being powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. For multitasking and storage, we get 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, which can also be extended externally up to 128GB by inserting a microSD card. Out of the box, the Z4 runs on Tizen OS 3.0, which has been developed by Samsung.

In the camera department, there is a 5 megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, dual LED flash at the back along with another 5 megapixel front-facing selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash at the front. Both of them can shoot 720p videos. Under the hood of the Samsung Z4, we get a 2050mAh battery (removable) and it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio as well. The phone weighs 143 grams and is 10.3mm thick. It is a Dual SIM phone with 4G VoLTE support. Other connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.

The Samsung Z4 is priced at Rs. 5,790 in India and will go on sale across the country from May 19 in Gold color. The consumers will get an additional back cover for free. If the phone gets listed on online e-commerce portals such as Flipkart or Amazon, then we will list it in our best smartphones under 6000 and other categories.
