Samsung launches new Galaxy J5 Prime and J7 Prime in India, price starts at Rs 14790

Samsung India has announced two new smartphones in their ‘Galaxy J series’ in India. They are known as Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime. They are priced at Rs. 14,790 and Rs. 18,790, respectively. Samsung has been actively developing new innovative features for their budget smartphones in India. Both these mid-rangers have got couple of new ‘Make for India’ innovations called S Power Planning and S Secure. Lets go through their use cases below.

Both Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime get new features, that includes S Power Planning and S Secure. Here S Power Planning addresses consumers’ power management and security related concerns. It has three features - I) Reserve battery for calls: It enables the consumer to allocate a certain percentage of the battery for calls and messages. II) Extend Battery time: It allows the users to extend the usage time of the phone by up to twice the current available time. III) Forward calls when no battery: Wherein the user can forward the calls to a selected contact or any number when the phone runs out of battery.

S Secure addresses the consumers’ concerns on security and privacy has three features - I) Lock and hide apps: It allows the users to hide or lock applications. II) Secure Folder: Here the user can store files for increased privacy and security. III) Secure WiFi: It enables consumers to browse worry free especially on a public WiFi by encrypting data which is being transferred.

These features basically will ensure that the users ‘Stay in charge’ and ‘Stay Secure’. Now lets check out the specifications and features of both the Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime below.

Both the Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime and J7 Prime comes in Black and Gold colors. The J5 Prime will go on sale by the end of September whereas the J7 Prime is already on sale via offline retail stores and Samsung online shop. Consumers using Vodafone will get 10GB of data over 3 months, if they recharge 1GB data.

Recently, the company has launched the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro in India for Rs 32,490.
