Samsung launches Galaxy A9 Pro with 4GB RAM in India for Rs 32490

Samsung India has launched the latest flagship phablet in their ‘Galaxy A series’ in the country today. It is known as the Galaxy A9 Pro and has been priced at Rs. 32,490. The massive 6-inch phablet made up of glass and metal was launched in China around 6 months back. It was supposed to launch in India couple of months back but was delayed due to unknown circumstances. It will come in three different colors - Gold, Black and White and will go on sale starting from September 26, 2023 across India via retail stores. Lets go through its specifications and features below.

Staring with the display, the Galaxy A9 Pro packs in a 6.0-inch Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display (2.7mm narrow bezel) that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, has a pixel density of 367 PPI and a screen-to-body-ratio of 75.9%. Under the hood, it packs in an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz along with Adreno 510 GPU. There is 4GB of RAM and 32GB on internal memory, that can be further increased up to 256GB by inserting a microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

The A9 Pro rocks a massive 5000mAh battery under the hood with fast charging support. In 30 minutes it will charge the battery up to 32% and a full charge from 0-100% takes about 160 minutes. Also, it promises up to 32.5 hours of talk time and up to 22.5 days of standby time, which is very impressive. The phablet supports Dual SIM (nano), comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button and packs in a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Its dimensions are 161.7 x 80.9 x 7.9 mm. It is on the heavier side with 210 grams and is 7.9 mm thick. Coming to the connectivity part, it has 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), ANT+, GPS and NFC.

Last but not the least, the A9 Pro rocks a 16 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). On the front, we get a 8 megapixel selfie shooter with f/1.9 aperture. It will be able to shoot good quality images in low lighting. Both the cameras can record Full HD 1080p videos.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro comes in Gold, Black and White for Rs 32,490 in India. If sold online, we will include it in our Best Smartphones under 40000 and probably in Best Smartphones under 30000 category as well.
