OPPO A57, a mid-ranged selfie-focused smartphone has been officially launched in the Indian market today, however it will go on sale starting from February 3, 2017. It is priced at Rs. 14,990. The phone was first unveiled in China back in November 2016. Lets check out the specifications of the device below.

Starting with the selfie camera in the OPPO A57, we get a 16 megapixel secondary front-facing selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and 1.12µm pixel size for taking some awesome selfies. It also comes with Beautify 4.0 mode that includes new features such as an upgraded Screen Flash, selfie panorama, palm-activated shutter and various other live filters. At the back, there is a 13 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens and PDAF.
The OPPO A57 is a Dual SIM phone with 4G VoLTE support. Other connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, USB OTG and GPS. It boasts of a 2900mAh battery under its hood, that promises up to 23 hours and 40 minutes of talk time. There is a fingerprint sensor onboard, located inside the home button. It is made up of hydrophobic zirconium surface and thus you can even operate it when your fingers are wet / moist. Also, it can unlock the phone in just 0.22 seconds. It is 7.65mm thick and weighs 147 grams.
In the display department, we get a compact 5.2-inch HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass protection. It is being powered by a Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz along with Adreno 505 GPU. For multitasking and storage, there is 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, which can be expanded further up to 128GB. The A57 runs on ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The OPPO A57 comes in Gold and it is priced at Rs. 14,990 in India. It will be available via both offline and online stores starting from February 3, 2017.
