OnePlus 5 with dual rear cameras go on sale in India starting at Rs. 32999

OnePlus India had officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 5 at an event in Mumbai last week. The phone went on an early access sale on June 22 exclusively on Amazon India and went out of stock within a couple of hours. Starting today, the OnePlus 5 with dual rear cameras is again available in the Indian smartphone market. The secondary camera is being used for capturing depth of field effect in portrait mode and offer 2x lossless zoom. Take a look at its specifications, features and pricing below.

The OnePlus 5 boasts of a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved Optic AMOLED display, which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and pixel density of 401 PPI. It has DCI-P3 color coverage and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor clocked at 2.45GHz along with Adreno 540 GPU. For multitasking and storage, we get 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of internal memory / 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The user cannot expand the storage externally as it does not have a microSD card. The OnePlus 5 is a Dual SIM (nano) phone, comes with 3.5mm audio jack, Dirac HD Sound and 3 microphones with noise cancellation.

In the camera department, we get a dual setup at the back - a 16 megapixel primary camera with dual LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX398 sensor, EIS and a 20 megapixel secondary camera with f/2.6 aperture, Sony IMX350 sensor. It can record 4K videos at 30fps, Full HD at 60fps and slow-motion HD video at 120fps. On the front, there is a 16 megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX371 sensor, that can shoot Full HD videos. The OnePlus features a ceramic fingerprint sensor embedded into its home button, which can unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds. The phone runs on Oxygen OS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. It is made up of anodized aluminium, that is 7.25mm thick and weighs 153 grams. There is an alert slider button to switch between No Notifications, Priority Notifications and All Notifications.

The OnePlus 5 rocks all the modern connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 aptX HD, GPS, GLONASS,  NFC, 3G HSPA+, USB Type-C and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MU-MIMO. Under the hood of this phone, there is a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge support. It promises up to one day of battery life with just 30 minutes of charge.

The OnePlus 5 is priced at Rs. 32,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM model in Slate Gray color while the 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant in Midnight Black color costs Rs. 37,999.
