Motorola owned by Lenovo has launched its latest smartphone in the Indian market. We are talking about the latest iteration in the ‘Moto G series’, the Moto G5 Plus. It starts at Rs. 14,999 and will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart starting today midnight in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold colors. The Moto G5 Plus was unveiled at MWC 2017 in Barcelona last month. The Motorola Moto G5 Plus comes in two variants - 3GB RAM with 16GB internal memory and 4GB RAM with 32GB internal memory. With the addition of a microSD card, the storage can be extended up to 128GB. For processing and graphics, the G5 Plus comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz along with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box.
The Moto G5 Plus rocks a 5.2-inch IPS display, which has a pixel density of 424 PPI and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). The panel is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is a Dual SIM (nano) mobile with 4G VoLTE support. In terms of connectivity, we are getting 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band) and GPS. Under the hood, the G5 Plus packs in a 3000mAh battery with support for Turbo Charging (15W). Lenovo promises up to 6 hours of battery life with 15 minutes of charging.
The G5 Plus features a unibody metal design like most smartphones. It is 7.9~9.7mm thick and weighs 155 grams. In the camera section, there is a 12 megapixel primary camera at the back with dual-tone LED flash, Dual-Pixel AutoFocus, f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX362 sensor. The primary shooter can also record 4K videos. It boasts of a 5 megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and OmniVision OV5695 sensor. We also get a fingerprint sensor located on the front along with a front-ported loudspeaker. Like most other Motorola smartphones, the G5 Plus also has water-repellent nano coating for water resistance.
The Moto G5 Plus starts at Rs. 14,999 for the 3GB RAM with 16GB ROM variant whereas the 4GB RAM with 32GB ROM model will set you back by Rs. 16,999. We will soon include the phone in our best smartphones under 15000 category.
