Motorola/Lenovo has launched its latest budget smartphone in the “Moto G series” called the Moto G5. It is available exclusively on Amazon India for Rs. 11,999 in Fine Gold and Lunar Gray colors. Last month, the company had launched the Moto G5 Plus in India exclusively on Flipkart. Take a look at the specifications and features of the Moto G5 below.
The Moto G5 comes with 3GB RAM with 16GB internal memory, while its elder brother comes in two variants in terms of RAM and storage. A microSD card can be added to extend the storage up to 128GB. For processing and graphics, the Moto G5 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz along with Adreno 505 GPU. The mobile runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box.
The Moto G5 sports a 5.0-inch IPS display, which has a pixel density of 441 PPI and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). The panel is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, just like the Moto G5 Plus. It is a Dual SIM (nano) phone with 4G VoLTE support. In terms of connectivity, we are getting 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band) and GPS. Under the hood, the G5 packs in a 2800mAh battery with support for Turbo Charging (10W) and also has a removable back cover.
The Moto G5 features a unibody metal design like most smartphones. It is 9.5mm thick and weighs 144.5 grams. In the camera section, there is a 13 megapixel primary camera at the back with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture. The primary shooter can also record 1080p videos. It boasts of a 5 megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and OmniVision OV5693 sensor. We also get a fingerprint sensor located on the front along with a front-ported loudspeaker. Like most other Motorola smartphones, the Moto G5 also has water-repellent nano coating for water resistance.
