InFocus Turbo 5 running on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with 5000mAh battery launched in India

Last year back in October, InFocus had launched the cheapest smartphone powered by a deca-core processor called EPIC 1. After a long silence, the company is back with another exciting budget smartphone named the InFocus Turbo 5. It boasts of a 5000mAh battery under its hood and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. InFocus has also promised an Android 8.0 O update for the device.

The InFocus Turbo 5 features a 5.2-inch On-Cell 2.5D curved glass IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD). The phone is being powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz. For multitasking and storage, we get 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage / 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can also be extended up to 32GB by adding a microSD card. The Turbo 5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box. It is a Dual SIM (nano) phone but comes with a hybrid slot and supports 4G VoLTE. Other connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS.

In the camera department, we get a 13 megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash at the back along with a 5 megapixel front-facing selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture at the front. It features a fingerprint sensor located at the back, which can unlock the phone in just 0.5 seconds. It rocks a metal body, that is 9mm thick and weighs 163 grams. We also get a 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.

Under the hood of the InFocus Turbo 5, we get a massive 5000mAh battery, which promises up to 50 hours of music playback, 23 hours of talk time, 15 hours of online video and standby time of 816 hours (34 days) on a single charge. It can also act as a powerbank and charge other phones using USB OTG reverse charging but it does not support fast charging.

The InFocus Turbo 5 is priced at Rs. 6,999 for the 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM model, while the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant costs Rs. 7,999 in India. It will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India from July 4, 2023 in Mocha Gold and Pure Gold colors. We will surely include it in our best smartphones under 7000 and other suitable categories soon.
