HTC launches 10 Evo in India with no headphone jack for Rs 48990

HTC 10 Evo, global variant of the HTC Bolt has been officially launched in India, priced at Rs. 48,990. It comes in Cast Iron and Pearl Gold colors and is now available from the HTC estore. The latest smartphone in the ‘HTC 10 series’ was unveiled back in November last year and its USP (or drawback) is that the phone doesn’t include the 3.5mm audio jack. It utilises the USB Type-C audio for a better audio experience. The HTC 10 Evo now becomes on the rarest smartphone in the world to not sport the 3.5mm audio jack.

Moving on to its other aspects, the HTC 10 Evo packs in a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super LCD 3 display, that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a pixel density of 534 PPI. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz and Adreno 430 GPU. For multitasking and storage, we get 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, that can be expanded externally with the help of a microSD card (up to 128GB). The phone runs on HTC Sense UI based on the latest Android Nougat OS.

The HTC 10 Evo is a 4G LTE enabled phone that features other connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) and 3G HSPA+. There is a 3200mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

In the camera department, the 10 Evo boasts of a 16 megapixel primary camera at the back with dual LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Laser Auto Focus (LAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). It can record 4K videos along with slow motion videos at 120 fps. There is a 8 megapixel selfie camera onboard. The HTC 10 Evo supports HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio, that can scan ears of the user and the ambient noise around them to adjust audio output according to the user’s personal hearing capability. It also comes with Hi-Res 24-bit audio and water resistant (IP57) aluminium body. We also get a fingerprint sensor located below the display, which can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.

The HTC 10 Evo is priced at Rs. 48,990 in India and is now available in Cast Iron and Pearl Gold colors. It is a contender of being placed in the best smartphones under 50000 list.
